CLIPPER WINDPOWER NAMES NEW CFO
Charles Williams to be nominated to Clipper’s Board of Directors
CARPINTERIA, CALIFORNIA March 31, 2006 Clipper Windpower (AIM: CWP) today announced that Charles Williams has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Williams will also be nominated to the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled for May 31, 2006.
With over 20 years of international financial management experience, Mr. Williams’ career spans areas of the U.S., Asia and Europe. From 1999- 2004 Mr. Williams served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sithe Asia Holdings Limited, a pan-Asian independent power producer based in Hong Kong. Prior, Mr. Williams held a number of key international treasury and controllership positions based in the U.S. and London at two Fortune 500 drug manufacturers, Pharmacia & Upjohn, Inc. and The Upjohn Company.
Recently awarded a Master of Science degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, Mr. Williams holds Master of Business Administration in Finance and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy degrees from Western Michigan University. Mr. Williams is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
